This season will start in the semi-finals week of Traditional Sixes. Meaning that only a few teams will potentially have conflicts with NR 6s match dates. For those few teams still in late playoffs, matches will have no default date and teams will find times that work for both teams.
- New Team Registration End: March 10th
- Placement of Teams: March 12th
- Regular Season: March 17th – April 21st (6 weeks)
- Default Dates: Tues, Wed, Thurs (same as trad 6s)
- Roster Locks: April 14th
- Playoffs: April 28th – May 5th (2 Weeks)
RGL.gg returns with its second season of No Restriction 6v6. For those unaware of this format,
there are no whitelists, no class limits, and six players on each team -- essentially using the format of in-game matchmaking. The maps will be played on 5CP, king of the hill, and payload. The cost is currently free for our Open and Newbie divisions and a small fee for our other divisions, including divisions of all skill levels. For this upcoming season, we are tweaking the map pool, as well as other changes based off the feedback from our first season.
Matches
- Intermediate-Invite - Two days a week
- Open - Wednesdays
Maps
There will be two different game formats for a match. Maps carry over to the next match. The idea here is to better utilize the different game modes that exist in this format. This will be an experimental change for this season.
Each match will allow up to
6 points, with the possibility of ties in a two map-match format. Stopwatch maps will be played to a best of 2 (first to 2 round wins) in the regular season, but will be a best of 3 during the playoffs.

- 5CP will now utilize a no time limit with a win limit capped at 4.
The issue with the win limit of 3 in our first season of NR 6s is that matches were often over quickly in games that lasted 5 to 10 minutes. Setting the win limit at a higher cap hopes to address this issue.

For the second season, there will be a prize pool for all paid divisions. For our first paid season, we want to make it more accessible to all players.
The open and newcomer divisions will be free. IM, Main, Advanced and above will have a player fee of five dollars per player, and Invite will have a player fee of $16.67, totaling a hundred dollars. We will not require teams to pay up for subs/ringers. This will result in a small prize pool, but will keep fees in line with the theme of being more accessible.
We’re also looking into giving players the chance to use their RGL past winnings to pay for future seasons.
